If an item genuinely goes missing, Lost Mode gives you another way to help recover it. Activate Lost Mode through the Apple Find My app and use Apple's Find My network to help identify an updated location when the tracker is detected by participating Apple devices. That means your tracker doesn't have to be within your own Bluetooth range for you to potentially receive a location update.
